Super Greens
When you're busy…
It can be hard to eat all the vegetables you need every
day. And, of course, that's often when you need their protective nutrients
the most. One healthy solution is to reach for a helping of super green
foods: microalgae and cereal grasses. They're packed with chlorophyll,
protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids just
what you need when you're under stress and don't have time to cook the way
you'd like to.
A serving of vegetables could be one cup of leafy
greens, half a cup of cooked vegetables, or a tablespoon of powdered greens
mixed in water or juice. It could also be a smoothie with a shot of wheat
grass juice from your favorite natural-foods store or several tablets or
capsules made from algae or grasses. |
